Risk disclosure
Read this before you open a mandate or instruct the desk. Digital asset recovery and settlement carry risks that cannot be removed by any provider.
Last updated: 31 July 2026
Recovery is never guaranteed
Outcomes depend on where the assets went, how quickly the incident was reported, whether an identifiable counterparty exists, and whether that counterparty cooperates. Many traces end at a non-cooperative venue, a mixer or a self-custodied wallet with no attribution. A completed investigation with no recovery is a realistic result, and fees for work performed remain payable as set out in your mandate.
Pricing is indicative until execution
Quotes shown at submission are based on the market at that moment. The desk executes manually, and the executed rate may be better or worse than the quote. Confirmed figures appear on the order record.
Fees
- Buy instructions: desk fee between 0% and 25%, shown on the preview before you confirm.
- Sell instructions: 1% of the settled amount.
- Withdrawals: 0.5% plus the applicable network fee.
- Recovery mandates: as agreed individually in writing.
On-chain transactions are irreversible
Once a transaction is broadcast it cannot be recalled. Sending on the wrong network, omitting a required memo or tag, or using an address that did not come from your account can destroy the funds permanently. Always verify the address, network and memo, and send a small test amount first.
Market volatility
Digital asset prices can move sharply in minutes. Value can fall as well as rise, and past performance says nothing about future results. Only commit assets you can afford to lose entirely.
Operational and counterparty risk
- Blockchain networks may congest, fork or halt, delaying settlement.
- Third-party exchanges and banks may freeze, delay or reject transfers.
- Regulatory changes may restrict certain assets, networks or jurisdictions at short notice.
Taxes
You are solely responsible for determining and paying tax on your transactions. In Germany, private disposals of digital assets may fall under § 23 EStG; other jurisdictions differ. CoinExForensics does not provide tax advice — consult a qualified adviser.
No investment advice
Nothing on this site or from our desk constitutes investment, legal or tax advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to buy or sell any asset. Decisions are yours alone.
