Terms of service

These terms govern the use of https://coinexforensics.com and all services provided by CoinexForensics GmbH.

Last updated: 31 July 2026

1. Provider

CoinexForensics GmbH, a company incorporated under the laws of Switzerland, with registered office at Bahnhofstrasse 65, 8001 Zürich, Switzerland ("CoinExForensics", "we", "us"). Contact: support@coinexforensics.com.

2. Scope of service

CoinExForensics provides (a) forensic investigation and recovery support for lost, stolen or misdirected digital assets, and (b) a concierge settlement desk through which verified clients may instruct buy, sell and withdrawal transactions.

CoinExForensics is not a trading venue, exchange, broker-dealer, custodian of last resort or investment adviser. There is no self-serve trading, no order book and no automated execution. Every instruction is reviewed and executed manually by our desk.

3. Eligibility and verification

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts.
  • Access to the settlement desk requires completed identity verification (KYC), including government photo identification and a liveness selfie.
  • We may refuse, suspend or terminate access where verification fails, where information is inconsistent, or where a sanctions, PEP or AML concern arises.
  • You warrant that assets you instruct us to handle are lawfully yours and free of third-party claims you have not disclosed.

4. Mandates

Recovery work is performed under a written mandate that defines the incident, the scope of investigation and the applicable fee. A mandate does not promise a specific outcome. We may decline or close a mandate where the evidence base is insufficient, where recovery is technically impossible, or where continuing would breach law or our compliance policy.

5. Desk pricing and fees

  • Buy instructions: a desk fee within a range of 0% to 25%, disclosed on the preview screen before you confirm.
  • Sell instructions: 1% of the settled amount.
  • Withdrawals: 0.5% of the withdrawn amount, plus any network fee.
  • Recovery mandates: fees are set individually in the mandate document.
  • Quoted prices are indicative until the desk executes. The rate shown at submission may differ from the executed rate; the executed figures are recorded on the order.

6. Deposits and on-chain instructions

Deposit addresses are issued per asset and network. Sending an asset on the wrong network, omitting a required memo or tag, or sending to an address you did not obtain from your account may result in permanent loss. On-chain transactions are irreversible and CoinExForensics cannot reverse them.

You are responsible for verifying the address, network and memo before broadcasting. We recommend a small test transaction first.

7. Your obligations

  • Provide accurate, complete and current information.
  • Keep your credentials confidential and notify us immediately of suspected compromise.
  • Do not use the service for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud or any unlawful purpose.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent verification, access other clients' data, or interfere with the platform's operation.

8. Liability

CoinExForensics is liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for market movements, blockchain network behaviour, third-party service failures, or losses arising from information you provided incorrectly.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Swiss law.

9. Suspension and termination

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. We may suspend an account immediately where required by law, where a compliance concern arises, or where we suspect unauthorised access. On termination we settle open positions and return remaining balances to a verified account or wallet, subject to legal holds.

10. Changes

We may amend these terms. Material changes are announced in the client portal before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

All legal relations between you and CoinExForensics are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the CISG. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zürich, Switzerland, subject to mandatory consumer protection venues.
